This week, we’ve got a Fight Pass card in Singapore. Since it’s in Singapore, we have to wake up at 4:30am ET to watch it live. I’ve already set the alarm and I will be up prepared to sweat these early fights. DraftKings does not have many big tournaments this week so I will personally be playing more cash games and less GPPs. I’ll still have 3 GPP lineups but most of my investment that this week will probably be in money games. But, There’s still money to be won so here are a Couple of plays I enjoy and my fade of the week:
Cash Game play of the week — Stack, Leon Edwards ($8,600) AND Donald Cerrone ($7,600)
Donald»Cowboy» Cerrone is not in a dull fight. Whether he wins or loses, his struggles usually score as a whole along with the winner almost always pays off their price tag in DraftKings. I typically look for at least 100 total points should I stack a fight in cash and I believe for this being a probable 5-rounds, it must assess well more than that. Should Edwards win this fight, it’s probably an early KO, and if that happens he’ll score quite high. If Cerrone wins, he could lock up a submission or a knockout and that will readily 10x his cost of $7.6k. But in any event, you’ve got the winner in your lineup and the ensured 30-90 win bonus points if you do stack. I think this battle will be fun so long as it lasts and there should be a fantastic number of points added up before one of these two get completed. If this does go 5 rounds, then these two should nevertheless get over 100 total points together with the pace Cowboy brings to the table.
GPP play of the week — Li Jingliang ($9,200)
Li Jingliang constantly puts on a series when he steps in the Octagon. He’s a quick pace fighter who scores very well on DraftKings if he wins. I believe he should be the better fighter wherever this struggle ends up against Abe. In addition, I think he can complete this fight on the feet or the floor and if that happens he would very likely pay off his high price tag of $9.2k. He is the 3rd most expensive fighter on the card and that I think he’s the highest ceiling. That’s what we want in GPPs is a ceiling, so that’s why Jingliang is my GPP drama of this week.
Underdog play of this week — Song Yadong ($7,900)
Song Yadong is my favourite DraftKings»underdog» this week. His betting line has shifted to him being a small favorite at -120 however he’s $400 cheaper than his competitor. I think saving that $400 is a fantastic move in cash or GPP games therefore that I enjoy Yadong in most formats. I think Yadong will seem to maintain this battle on the feet and search for this KO win. If he can get the win, I think he should easily pay off that cost and receive at least 10x.
Fade of this week — Viviane Pereira ($8,800)
My main difficulty with Pereira is that she’s too pricey. At $8.8k, I need at least 88 points out of her and I believe she desires get an end to perform that. I don’t see that happening and does Vegas using a +617 ITD line. She does not strike at a high enough speed or land enough takedowns to score 88 points in my opinion. In her 2 UFC wins she held her opponent against the fence for a fantastic portion of the fight and no issues are being scored when that happens. If she does this again , there’s absolutely no way she comes near 88 points even with a win. I have a full fade on Pereira this week and that I will compensate for different favorites instead.
