Crystal Ocean endured a career-ending injury on Thursday.
The Sir Michael Stoute-trained five-year-old was taking part in a regular canter because his prep for either the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe and also the Champion Stakes at Ascot continuing.

Peter Stanley, spokesman for proprietor Sir Evelyn de Rothschild, told the PA news service:”He has had to get two screws inserted right into a cannon bone.
“He’s good after surgery, he’s come through the surgery and will be up and about.
“At this phase the vet finds out no problem at all in him heading to stud, but it’s early days.
“Obviously it didn’t happen long ago, but the hope is that he makes a complete recovery.”
