UFC 230 Occurs on Saturday, November 3, 2018 in Madison Square Garden in New York, New York.
Heavyweight winner Daniel Cormier (21-1, 1 NC, 10 KOs, 4 SUBs) will defend his title against knockout artist Derrick Lewis (21-5, 18 KOs, 1 SUBs). The card issuers reside on pay-per-view 10pm ET that is starting.
Just one pay-per-view after the Khabib-McGregor superfight, the UFC is providing us a heavyweight title game. And it just so happens to feature one of UFC 229’s breakout star:”The Black Beast” himself, Derrick Lewis. It is 1 matter to score a dramatic, last-second comeback win in a fight you’re getting dominated. However, Lewis topped that by following it up with the funniest post-fight meeting in UFC history, on the greatest night in UFC history.
That’s 1 way of becoming a star. And now, the one-dimensional knockout artist that never actually seemed like a valid competitor is fighting for the title under a month after taking a beating at the hands of Alexander Volkov. Daniel Cormier’s probably drooling at the notion of an easy paycheck. It is going to also be his first heavyweight title protection.
Despite the UFC announcing a banger of a storm involving middleweight hulks Yoel Romero and Paulo Costa, the massive Cuban has said that the fight won’t be happening. Though we hope this contest happens, we tend to believe that the fighter when they said that they’re not ready. Let us hope he heals up punctually.
If those 185-pounders do not get it on, there are still three crazy great middleweight matchups to anticipate. The biggest of them is that a rematch between former winners Luke Rockhold and Chris Weidman, respectively ranked No. 2 and No. 3. Perennial contender Ronaldo”Jacare” Souza matches former WSOF champ David Branch, together with both guys jockeying for a title position. The branch’s most exciting prospect, Israel Adesanya, sets his undefeated record on the line against No. 6 Derek Brunson. At times,”The previous Stylebender” looks like the next coming of a prime Anderson Silva, and everybody is expecting that this dude is for real.

UFC 230 Betting Lines, Predictions and Picks
Here is a weird story. In a meeting with MMAJunkie just days following the Volkov fight, Lewis came out and said that he had no urge to headline UFC 230. That he’d already begun eating breakfast snacks and also his cardiovascular was nowhere near the level it needed to be in to realistically challenge for the name.
He ended that interview by reluctantly saying that it’d have a giant paycheck for him to leap right into a title fight with a few of the best to ever do it. Later that afternoon, Dana White announced that Lewis would be fighting for the title. Sounds like someone got PAID.
Still, the UFC’s greed is showing here. Lewis was nearly finished multiple occasions, and it was apparent he couldn’t survive five rounds. The UFC is putting him onto a card under a month later? That is called exploiting a celebrity turn. And while we love how honorable DC is, it sure seems like he is cherry picking here.
The previous time Weidman and Rockhold fulfilled, the AKA surfer boy deciphered the former All-American wrestler and took the belt from him. Time hasn’t softened the grudge between them both, and it was a close fight until that point. Rockhold has been pumped out two, suggesting that his chin is a severe weakness. Coincidentally, Weidman suffered two brutal knockouts as well before bouncing back against Kelvin Gastelum.
Both these middleweights are good everywhere, though they have different strategies in each phase. Rockhold’s submission grappling is top notch, but Weidman is a stellar classic wrestler. Weidman can box with the best of these, but Luke’s unorthodox kicks can do significant harm.
Ronaldo Souza can’t seem to catch a rest. One of the most accomplished BJJ artists to enter the octagon, he’s been in multiple name eliminators, only to fall short in every one. Beating David Branch probably would not seal the deal, but he could keep his title on a short list of worthy challengers. Branch could vault in the title mix by simply taking the well-regarded Brazilian.
Israel Adesanya has what it takes to be a star: an engaging character and more importantly, an electric fighting style. He is clearly a special striker, landing all of eight limbs with exceptional accuracy and power. Of course, like all fantastic standup artists, he has to pass the wrestler test, also Derek Brunson – a former collegiate wrestler – is much more than capable to dish that out.
