This weekend from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, we’ve got the chance to witness none but two UFC world title fights that have been in the making for quite some time.
From the co-main occasion, for Bantamweight title challenger Valentina Shevchenko squares off contrary former multiple time Strawweight women’s winner, Joanna Jedrzyczyk for its new and vacant women’s 125 lb Flyweight world title strap.
These two girls have a friendly rivalry that dates back for their amateur fighting days at the European Muay Thai Championships. Valentina was able to come out on top every battle, albeit with more experience every time and she is the bigger fighter.
More on the size difference afterwards.
The main occasion may feature the most anticipated fight of 2018! I understand that the declaration, however, think about it. Minus Conor vs Khabib, there isn’t a struggle I was more hyped for than this one all year.
Jon Jones’s return will, undoubtedly, be fairly amazing but this is the second time these two guys have gone through a complete fight camp in preparation for their fight. The first time around, Max Holloway was hauled out of the contest at the last minute by the athletic commission for weight cutting issues.
Many fans and media are still speculating as to what’d Max sounding so punchy and slurred in interviews preceding that potential first fight w Ortega back on July 4th of this year.
